Shocker! Chevy Halts Production on Volt

How many of you saw this coming? Raise your hand....yah....exactly- everyone of you did.

General Motors has temporarily suspended production of its Volt electric car, the company announced Friday. GM, which is based in Detroit, announced to employees at one of its facilities that it was halting production of the beleaguered electric car for five weeks and temporarily laying off 1,300 employees.

"We needed to maintain proper inventory and make sure that we continued to meet market demand," GM spokesman Chris Lee said in a telephone interview.Lee noted that sales of the Volt were higher in February than they were in January, and added that California recently decided to allow the electric car to qualify for High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lanes in the state.

Yah, that's the only thing keeping it afloat. Our lovely federal government is trying to convince other governmental agencies to integrate and embrace this useless car. Trust me, if there was demand, there would be no halt to production.

At Least She Told the Absolute Truth

The LA Times ran an opinion piece from an openly liberal writer describing her recent meltdown with conservative neighbors.

We are not the same. I equate Republicans' political views with thoughtlessness, intolerance and narcissism. They're neither kind nor empathetic.

The canard of course is that Republicans are all of that and more. The usual cries of bigotry, racism, prejudice in all its hatefullness closely follows.

I laughed. I thought he was joking, but he quickly made it clear he was not. He is white and his wife is African American. And they belong to the tea party. They don't care who becomes our next president as long as it isn't Barack Obama.

Hmmm....wait just a paradoxical minute. A Tea Party member married to an African American? Why, that flies in the face of ALL THAT IS HOLY! My God, there's a liberal conundrum, if there ever was one!

I don't want to be friends with someone who is a member of the tea party or is a Newt Gingrich Republican. We are not the same.

Exactly. We are not. Conservatives values are not liberal values and vice versa. Conservatives know what's best for themselves. Liberals know what's best for themselves AND conservatives.

No not that he was going to attack the Capitol..NO...it was because he is described as an ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT. Finally, WaPo has decided that someone with an expired Visa...sitting around for 12 years and attempting murder and mayhem....can rightfully be labeled...ILLEGAL!

Goodness...be still my heart. Of course, had he been from Mexico...he would've been labeled- undocumented worker. But I'll take my small shallow victories, whenever possible!

A Match Made in Hell

You knew it was only a matter of time. Uh no, I'm not talking about the premature death of Whitney Houston. Yes my friends, it's Pirates of the Carribean meets Lawrence of Arabia at the river Styx!

They've made it official. Al Qaeda has solidified its reach into Africa as the Somalia-based terror organization al Shabaab formally pledged allegiance to the followers of Osama bin Laden, according to a new video that recently surfaced online.

"I give you good news today that will make the faithful happy and the Crusaders cringe: al Shabaab in Somalia has joined al Qaeda," says al Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri in the video.

Crusaders? That word hasn't been kicked around since the 1200s. But then again, Zawahiri's religion has been stuck in that century since...well since the 1200s.

The video also features an audio statement allegedly by al-Shabaab leader Sheikh Abu Zubeyr in which he pledges allegiance to Zawahiri.

"The entire world attests that America's days are over and her rule has gone and her minions in the land of Muslims -- their end has come," the man identified as Zubeyr says.

I wouldn't bet on that Zube Doobie Do.

When All Else Fails: Use Intimidation

Sadly, the Susan G. Komen foundation has buckled. Yep. Planned Parenthood and their merry band of miscreants has launched an all out attack on the breast cancer foundation after they withdrew their support.

WOW.

A charity foundation decides to take their monetary gifts somewhere else, and what do those screaming effed up liberals do? They rise up in indignation. How dare Komen do that!

Caught in a maelstrom of public reaction to its decision to cease funding Planned Parenthood, the Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation announced Friday that it would reverse course.

So now Komen continues funding Planned Parenthood INVOLUNTARILY. Not voluntarily mind you. A charity blasted for changing its mind. Now coerced and intimidated.

This is why I donate directly. I don't have any progressive moonbats between me and my donation.

UPDATE: It has come to my attention that liberal readers are unaware that you can donate directly to people in need! Yes, amazingly, it's true. But I suspect they haven't done it themselves- so that's why their clueless. For those liberal readers who have never donated directly or cared to learn, here's how it's done:
1. Handing his or her, the person in need, money (Novel huh?)
2. Taking his or her, the person in need, to a place to eat and buying them breakfast, lunch or dinner. (Another DIRECT donation..not only donating money but your time. I'm only explaining this to the liberal dullards out there.)
3. Taking clothes to the person in need and handing them over. (A very simple gesture, works every time)

And there you have it. Direct donations.

Global Warming Slams Alaska

Al Gore, you genius, Alaska just got slammed.

The temperature at Fairbanks International Airport hit 50 below zero Saturday morning for the first time since 2006, while a low of 57 below was reported in North Pole.

Fort Yukon and Huslia were the coldest Interior communities at 63 below zero, while two others beat their own records.

Tanana hit 61 below zero Saturday morning, breaking its previous record low of 58 below, set in 1919, and Bettles, at 60 below, broke its previous record of 56 below, which was set in 1989.

Since 1919? Wait...I thought the earth was warming? Almost 100 years and parts of Alaska are colder than they were. Al Gore, you global warming soothsayer!

UPDATE: My my my....it keeps getting colder.
Jim River, AK closed in on the all time record coldest temperature of -80°F set in 1971, which is not only the Alaska all-time record, but the record for the entire United States.

Occupy Anarchy

Meanwhile...the Occupy protesters in Oakland, a hallowed cadre of people supported by the President, leading Demobats, and a litany of elite liberals are up to their usual respectful ways.

Occupy protesters broke into Oakland City Hall, damaging displays and burning an American flag, the culmination of protests Saturday that saw police and protesters trade allegations over who was responsible for clashes in the northern California city that ended with the arrest of more than 100 people.

Breaking and entering? Burning and looting?

Protesters tossed metal pipes, bottles and burning flares at Oakland police, who responded with tear gas, smoke grenades and bean bag bullets.

Fine citizens in another life, I'm sure.

“We do not succeed on our own, we all have to pull weight and to our own work,” he said. “America is not about handouts but we always understand we’re more successful when we do it together.”

Come again? Are you kidding me?

Of course, we're about handouts! Why do you think you're called the Food Stamp President? With 99 WEEKS of UNEMPLOYMENT checks? With trillions in debt? With bail outs for banks, insurance companies, brokerage firms, car manufacturers, and you name it?

THOSE ARE CALLED HANDOUTS....Are you that ignorant or suffering from a horrible case of duplicity?
