Why Reuters and CNN Should Be Whacked
Someone from the Sopranos should whack the Editor-In-Chief of Reuters.com. And when he's done- he should whack CNN's. The reason is quite simple. Most every headline they both use- attacks the administration for one reason or another. And the recent NY Times SEDITIOUS act of revealing classified information to the public is a perfect example. Here's Reuters headline:
Cheney defends search of bank records
Those words clearly indicate Reuters' position...tacit support for the NY Times with that headline and subsequent article. Here's what Reuters should have said and wrote:
NY Times Defends Their Act of Sedition- Indictments Likely
Editors and Staff of the NY Times were horrified to learn that their recent article revealing classified information would not go without severe consequences. Angry Americans have bombarded the office of the NY Times calling for their mass dismissal. The CIA, FBI and other security agencies are looking into possible indictments. The NY Times has a history of providing US secrets to al Qaeda and overt support to our enemies.
Vice President Cheney's statements yesterday reflect the outrage Americans feel toward the Press.
Yes I know....the article above would never go to print- but it's a position that Reuters should have taken none-the-less. And CNN.
And while we're at it- the LA Times......and the Boston Globe...and the Washington Post...and the Atlanta Journal-Constition....and the Seattle Post Intelligencer...and the Detroit Free Press....and the Miami Herald....and the Philadelphia Inquirer.....and- oh heck- pick a major URBAN NEWSPAPER.
The Sopranos would be busy for a long time.
